Hi! I'm Emily. My professional titles are writer and editor, but my unofficial titles are gourmande and bonne vivante. I love to eat and travel, and to write about what I find. I also like to take pictures. There's the old saying, “the world is your oyster.” For me, the world would be a big plate of chocolate croissants: Sweet, multi-layered and better by the bite.
I speak fluent French. I studied abroad in France for a summer during college. I moved back post-graduation to teach English in elementary schools in Orléans, France.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in English Literature and French. Most recently, I graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, where I specialized in magazine journalism.
I love to cook and I'm always looking for new recipes. I also like to dine out and explore local restaurants. Check out my journey at Allez Le Food!
